How To Get To Maldives

Do you need a visa to enter Maldives?
Entering the Maldives is easy. Make sure you have a passport or travel document valid for up to six months, return flight tickets and a hotel booking. 30 day tourist visa is granted to all visitors. Most visitors arrive in to the Maldives by air. The main International airport is Velana International Airport situated on the island of Hulhule. Hulhule is ten minutes by dhoni (Local motorboat) from the capital island, Male’. One can also choose to take a short taxi ride across the Sinamale Bridge also.
Resort representatives or representatives from travel agencies are on duty at flight times. Guests are greeted on arrival. Transfer to Male’ and the resorts are available by dhoni, speedboat, or seaplanes. The transportation mode usually depend on the distance between the airport and the resort.
